Manufacturers of Solar Panels Seek Local Ties

Today the WSJ reported that the largest manufacturers of solar panels are actively creating local affiliate networks of installers.  The angle for the manufacturers is to better control distribution and better predict and deal with supply issues.  2009 was a year of substantial inventory gluts in the solar panel business, and local relationships will allow them to more efficiently address demand.  Expect more local advertising campaigns around solar panels — which will increase awareness and adoption.  WSJ:  SOLAR PANEL MANUFACTURERS SEEK LOCAL TIES.
